Blank Artists’ “Blood and Water” compilation puts on display what,
they believe, diversity in music truly means. From E. Spleece
feat. Peril Elle’s “Every Square Inch” to, now defunct, Hot Pink
Karma’s title track, “Blood and Water”, this album brings together
several genres and places them into a small, and easy to digest,
capsule.
Scattered amongst the funk are some tasty down-tempo
licks as well as some ass-shaking house and techno jams – which
is a main influence for the label as a whole. Don’t be fooled; just
because the hipsters may flock to it doesn’t mean it’s bad!
